How to Use SexSkits

SexSkits are written for committed couples who wish to shed the everday routine in their sexual relations, and branch out in experimentation in terms of adopting different personnas, exercising different values and morals, experiencing activities that may be considered taboo or otherwise outside of the mainstream, or to overcome inhibitions. SexSkits, when properly used, can be powerful tools to enhance the sexual lives of the participants. Each SexSkit contains a powerful conflict, that once resolved, leads to sexual satisfaction. However, the resolution of that conflict may lead to both participants questioning the other as to their true wants and desires. It is important to remember that these SexSkits are a vehicle for fantasy, and not reality. Even if the male partner were to have an extramarital affair with a Frenchmaid in the fantasy, it doesn't mean that he will pursue the same option in real life. In the end, the Frenchmaid was his wife, and the happiness that she has imparted to him was from her, and not another woman. The female has the opportunity through the SexSkit to be all women, all the time to her devoted partner. Likewise, the man can be the same for her. It is important for both participants to remember that this is a fantasy that you have agreed to share with one another, and is not an indication of what truly lies in each other's hearts. Committed couples should be prepared to discuss their feelings openly with each other prior to, and after the completion of a SexSkit.

SexSkit Components

Each SexSkit contains several sections to assist the participants properly prepare for their sexual role play:

Title Bar & Legend

The Title Bar & Legend section of the SexSkit gives you the SexSkit logo and heading, the SexSkit title, a suggested costume picture of the SexSkit antagonist, and the Legend that takes the SexSkit participant through the scripted scene descriptions, character's spoken lines and actions, alternative actions, lines and scene description scripts.

Genres, Fantasy Base & Sexual Actions

The next sections are the Genres, Fantasy Base & Sexual Actions. The Genres section gives the SexSkit participant the Genre and Sub-genre so that they may properly develop their scene and character. The Fantasy Base section gives the SexSkit participant a perspective of the character the SexSkit was written to benefit. The Fantasy Base is determined by a variety of factors, including the power differential as set by the SexSkits Power Gradient, a pre-determined switch in the power differential, or specific sexual acts or circumstances that pre-dispose the SexSkit for the specific enjoyment of one sex over the other. The Fantasy Base is either set to:

For Her
For Him
For Both

In the Sexual Actions section, the sexual actions that are to be performed in the course of the SexSkit are outlined. The visual icons are also located in the right hand margin of the SexSkit script to remind the participants of the impending sexual action.

The Power Gradient is a measure of the Dominance to Submissiveness factor attributed to the male and female characters of the SexSkit. In all sexual relations, there usually exists a dominant partner and a submissive partner, although the difference between the two may only be incremental in some cases. The Power Gradient helps the SexSkit participants gauge their level of dominance or submissiveness in preparation of executing their assigned roles. The SexSkit Power Gradient is defined with a female and male symbol with the corresponding gradient listed inside the symbol. The SexSkit Power Gradients are defined as follows:

0: Controlled / Forced

1: Severely Submissive

2: Submissive

3: Surrendering

4: Coerced / Seduced

5: Neutral / Consenting

6: Coercing / Seducing

7: Conquering

8: Dominant

9: Strongly Dominant

10: Controlling / Forcing

The Power Differential Switch icon, is normally displayed in the left hand margin of the script where there exists a dramatic change in the participant’s power differential settings that leads to a switch in the power base between the two participants.

Introduction

The Introduction section gives the SexSkit participants a rough overview of the knowledge base or history and background behind the development of this particular SexSkit. Oftentimes, much character development information may be obtained by the prospective participants in reading and understanding this section.

Characters

In the Character section, the participants are first introduced to the protagonist and antagonist characters, and are given direction as to which character initiates the SexSkit.

Props (Costuming) & Setting / Scene Preparation

These next all important sections deal with setting the proper frame of mind for a successful SexSkit performance through the use of props and setting and scene directions. In the Props section, specific instructions are provided for costume design, costume accessories, perfuming and personal grooming for both the male and female SexSkit participants. This section also contains specific instructions for any accessories (props) that are required for use by that SexSkit participant. In the Setting / Scene Preparation section, directions are given as to the period and time of day you are trying to achieve, as well as lighting, background sounds, smells, and tastes that bring the set of your SexSkit to life.

Character Development

The Character Development section begins to give the SexSkit participant a glimpse of the type of person that they are to become when they are actively engaged in the SexSkit.

Plot

The Plot section outlines the story behind the SexSkit. It is important for both SexSkit participants to be familiar with both the Character Development for their character and the Plot of the entire SexSkit so that they can perform the SexSkit successfully.

Bookmarks

The Bookmarks section of the SexSkit provides the participants with just that - bookmarks through the course of the SexSkit that can help them memorize lines and act as cues to get back on track should they get lost in the middle of the SexSkit due to the heat of the moment. Bookmarks are indicated both with a colored subscript next to the quote as well as iconically throughout the script in the left hand margin.

Pre-production Notes

The Pre-Production notes are a series of iconic reminders to the SexSkit participants of what background information or actions must be achieved prior to executing the SexSkit. Each SexSkit is rated for its potential difficulty in execution according to the costume and prop elements, the sexual actions, and the difficulty of the character development and scripted lines. SexSkits are rated as follows:

Easy Moderate Difficult

Script

This is the main body of the SexSkit. All SexSkits are designed to be run in one Act. If you desire to have Act 2, that is completely up to you. Generally, each SexSkit is broken down into several Scenes. Some scenes take the necessary time to develop the SexSkit as a whole. First scenes generally involve the introduction of the protagonist to the antagonist, in what we call the IntroSeduction scene. Scene 2 usually involves the antagonist providing the protagonist with his or her "foil", the decision that has to be made or the obstacle that must be overcome in order for the SexSkit to proceed. In the following scenes, the sexual nature of the SexSkit is revealed, taking the participants through a wild, sexual journey together, as scripted in the Script & Action section.

Alternate Actions

Each SexSkit comes complete with an Alternative(s) section. This section gives the SexSkit participants an "alternate ending" so to speak, where the participants may elect to forego one type of sexual act for another preferred one based upon their individual tastes or limits. The Alternative(s) section inserts a superscript in the script where the SexSkit author believes that this alternate action should be inserted, as well as an icon located in the left hand margin of the script. It should be mentioned that a major reason behind the development of a SexSkit is to create an atmosphere in which the participants may press beyond their individual boundaries. SexSkit participants are encouraged to attempt to do just that, and to use the Alternates only if the action is so distasteful that by engaging in it, they run the risk of destroying the entire scene.

Suggested (Sexual) Positions

Each SexSkit has been written with certain things in mind, one of those being which type of sexual position the characters assume when engaged in sexual relations with each other. The Suggested Positions section gives a quick visual cue as to the position being referenced to in the SexSkit. You can obtain more information of the by downloading the suggested Couplespak with your SexSkit, or by visiting the Positions section on the SexSkits website.

Afterplay

The Afterplay section is vitally important. Here are some suggestions for you and your partner after you have concluded your SexSkit. Remember, you have just immersed yourself into your SexSkits character, and become someone else to your lover. Now it's time to return to reality and be with your lover as you really are, and not as someone else. This is the true power of the SexSkit, and it should not be glossed over or skipped.

Post-production Notes

This last section explains the social, sexual, and psychological reasons for the development of this particular SexSkit, deals with some of the fallout that may result from total character immersion and participation in the SexSkit. We believe in committed couples, and realize that participation in sexual roleplay may have unintended consequences in the days following participation in a SexSkit. This section is important for both participants to read and understand. At the core of every SexSkit is the intent to strengthen relationships, and not drive them apart. Just because in a make believe setting with you your partner has sex with a total "stranger", does not mean that she wants that in reality. The true power of SexSkits is that we can safely explore our desires, fantasies and taboos, with each other in a controlled environment. Additionally, for SexSkits that involve bondage, spanking, or other alternative types of sexual expression in a BDSM setting, the Post-Production Notes will strongly encourage the development of "safety words", or those words that are designed to tell the other participant that the SexSkit is over because they are uncomfortable or that it is becoming painful.
